Showing My Age

Last night, went to see Nipponese Metal/Drone power house Boris. This band is a truly amazing experience live. Right up there with The Ex, as best rock experiences ever. This was my third time seeing them. I will see every show they ever play here in my hometown.

But, that's not the point of this post.

at one point I noticed that more people in the crowd seemed to be Text Messaging, Taking photo's, and or talking on there fucking cell phones, then there were just watching the band. This isn't so bad in and of itself, except these people were right up near the front, instead of in the back of the club, obstructing people's view, taking up floor space. One "Man" spent 10 minutes texting someone, and when I tried to get next to my Lady, he attempted to elbow me back behind him. Another "Man" Kept reaching around me with his Trio to take photos, which he was then sending to people. Someone actually answered there phone in the middle of Boris' set. Why do you people bother coming to the shows? Are you there to experience the band? Or just to log some evidence that you can be cool? I don't know, I guess that sounds overly dismissive. It just frustrates me too no end, when I'm watching Wata wail on her Les Paul, and the next thing I know I've got a fucking cell phone in my face.

WAHHHH

My ears are totally blown.
